In addition to research, which constitutes the primary professional activity at NBRI, Institute members are also in close links with the construction sector and with primary public and governmental bodies of the sector, are members of professional organizations, and represent the Technion and NBRI in national and public committees handling issues of high professional significance.

One of the main channels by which the accumulated and matured research-based knowledge is successfully applied and transferred to the industry is standardization. The Institute’s researchers are invited, in accordance with their areas of activity, to participate as members in Expert Committees held by the Israel Standards Institute. In addition, NBRI members represent the Technion in Technical and Central Committees.

Additionally, alongside their professional activities in Israel, NBRI researchers are also involved in international activity, and are active members of international professional associations relevant to their field of expertise.
